Boba Fett is a character in the Star Wars fictional universe. A bounty hunter hired by Darth Vader to find the Millennium Falcon, he is a major villain in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980). Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002) establishes Boba Fett's back story as a clone of Jango Fett, a bounty hunter who raises Boba as a son. The Star Wars Expanded Universe expands on Fett's origins and career as a bounty hunter. Fett's air of danger and mystery have created a cult following for the character, who has been merchandised across multiple media.

Boba Fett, Mandalorian Bounty Hunter

The clone troopers of the Army of the Republic are soldiers in the fictional Star Warsuniverse, cloned from Jango Fett, a Mandalorian bounty hunter. They first appeared in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, and returned in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith where they were played primarily by Temuera Morrison. In these movies, clone troopers comprised the bulk of the Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. They are depicted as the main part of the armed forces of the Galactic Republic in its final years, becoming one of the largest armies ever assembled, only surpassed by the Separatist Droid Army. After the Clone Wars, they served as the nucleus for the armed forces of the Galactic Empire, eventually becoming the Imperial Stormtroopers. They used blaster rifles and z6 chain guns.

The Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca, literally meaning "cat-foot black-and-white") is a bear native to central-western and south western China. It is easily recognized by its large, distinctive black patches around the eyes, over the ears, and across its round body. Though it belongs to the order Carnivora, the Giant Panda's diet is 99% bamboo. Other parts of its diet include honey, eggs, fish, yams, shrub leaves, oranges, and bananas when available.

The Giant Panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China, mainly in Sichuan province, but also in the Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. Due to farming, deforestation, and other development, the Giant Panda has been driven out of the lowland areas where it once lived.

The Giant Panda is a conservation reliant endangered species. A 2007 report shows 239 Giant Pandas living in captivity inside China and another 27 outside the country.

This paper model was made to support the "Save the Endangered Species Program". This paper model was given to my colleague Anno.

In April 2009, an outbreak of Influenza-like illness occurred in Mexico and the USA the CDC reported seven cases of novel A/H1N1 influenza. By April 24 it became clear that the outbreak of ILI in Mexico and the confirmed cases of novel influenza A in the southwest US were related and WHO issued a health advisory on the outbreak of "influenza like illness in the United States and Mexico". The disease then spread very rapidly, with the number of confirmed cases rising to 2,099 by May 7, despite aggressive measures taken by the Mexican government to curb the spread of the disease.

On June 11, 2009, the WHO declared an H1N1 pandemic, moving the alert level to phase 6, marking the first global pandemic since the 1968 Hong Kong flu.

On October 25, 2009 U.S. President Barack Obama officially declared H1N1 a national emergency.

November 29, 2009 worldwide update by the U.N.'s World Health Organization (WHO) states that "207 countries and overseas territories/communities have reported laboratory confirmed cases of pandemic influenza H1N1 2009, including at least 8,768 deaths." (Source: Wikipedia)

This was my first attempt on making a paper automaton. Turn the lever and the ears flap. Making this automaton was pretty tricky specially at making sure that the mechanism for the ear movement work properly. Nevertheless, it was fun making this paper toy.

This was given to Zamantha. Enjoy!
